The care questions inside “program”

Care note / US status

Is there a clear US route?

The word “withdrawn” means a request was taken back. Ask what was requested and what that means for an offer of Semax.

Start with the present record

Semax has no US drug approval. As of September 30, 2026, Semax is also not on the official list of extra ingredients that regular pharmacies are allowed to use when preparing medicines to order. FDA’s Semax review

The people or groups who asked to have Semax allowed as a pharmacy ingredient took their requests back. The FDA still lists its safety concerns beside Semax on its page marked current April 22, 2026. FDA’s compounding record

Was it cleared when the request was taken back?

No. Taking back a request is not FDA approval or a finding that Semax is safe, under rules checked September 26, 2026. FDA’s pharmacy ingredient rules

For some ingredients, the FDA says it will hold back action against pharmacies while it decides, if stated conditions are met. That policy is not legal permission to use an ingredient. Semax is outside that group, as checked September 30, 2026. FDA’s pharmacy ingredient rules

What the meeting did and did not settle

FDA staff recommended keeping Semax off the pharmacy ingredient list before the July 2026 meeting. That was a staff recommendation, not the FDA’s final decision. FDA’s Semax review

The FDA had posted no official record of how the group advising it voted on Semax as of September 30, 2026. FDA’s meeting documents

The group’s vote only advises the FDA. Changing the ingredient list requires the FDA to put forward a rule, invite public comments and finish the rule change. These rules were checked September 26, 2026. FDA’s pharmacy ingredient rules

What to ask about an offer

Ask: “What current rule lets this exact Semax product be provided to me?” A link to a meeting agenda does not answer that question.

Ask a doctor or another health professional licensed to assess your concern about care. An online offer alone does not tell you whether this product may legally be provided.
